Most Singaporeans believe they can taste when food is too salty. They can’t. As a result, we consume nearly twice the sodium we need, raising the risk of hypertension and other diseases.
“Trust No Tongue” is a playful, cinematic spin on the classic whodunnit, revealing how our taste buds deceive us and the consequences of letting too much salt in.
Created for the Health Promotion Board’s nationwide lower-sodium campaign, the film nods to our rich Straits foodie culture and the nostalgia of gangland cinema.
